Canes help people stay active, independent and mobile. Do you want to walk with more confidence and maintain your balance? Why not look at canes? BIOS Medical is a canes manufacturer in Canada.

Choose the correct canes for your needs

Choose canes based on how much assistance the individual needs. Will the canes be for general support or stability? Need canes in Canada? Try BIOS Medical canes.

  • Available in black, silver, copper and blue, the BIOS Living J-Handle cane has a soft foam handle. The cushion grip handle places less stress on the wrist and hands. The J-Handle cane is made from lightweight aluminum, adjustable and has a weight capacity of 300 lbs/136 kg.
  • Made from lightweight aluminum, the Offset Cane with Retractable Ice Pick provides solid support and stability in icy conditions. The cane comes with an ergonomic offset handle that is comfortable to use and a wrist strap. It has a weight capacity of 300 lbs/136 kg.
  • The Quad cane, with its four small feet, provides a larger support base than a standard cane. The user is more balanced when they walk. It is made from lightweight aluminum and has an ergonomic offset handle. The weight capacity for this cane is 300 lbs/136 kg.

If you need a cane for more stability, try a quad cane. Standard canes are ideal for general support. Remember to replace the rubber cane tip regularly and use the correct size tip for optimal safety.

Canes must be set at the correct height

Canes should be adjusted to the height of the user. If you cannot use a health care professional to adjust the cane for you, do the following. Wear the same shoes you generally wear for walking. Get somebody to assist you.

Let your hands hang naturally at your side. A slight elbow bend is acceptable. Then select the push button setting that positions the cane handle at wrist level. Set it at that level.

BIOS Medical has been taking care of Canadians for over three generations. We are a canes manufacturer and accept payment via PayPal, GPay and ShopPay. Buy canes online from BIOS Medical today.
