BIOS BPiQ/MediLink Users,

The much awaited date for our MediLink App launch has come! As excited as we are to welcome it to our library of helpful tools we provide to our customers, there were some unforeseen speedbumps that have come to light.

We wish to apologize for some inconveniences that may have arisen for you during your first pairing attempts.  Please rest assured, any hiccups that arise during the early days will be ironed out as soon as possible!

Pairing your Bluetooth Device:

Some of you may have experienced an issue that was not allowing you to pair your device after selecting the specific model image from the list. After making some adjustments this should no longer be present. Please update the App if you have an available software update, and try again.

If you are still having troubles please try the following instructions:

You may be able to pair your Bios BP monitor with the app by selecting the BIOS Protocol 7D MII BD245 model, instead of your current model, the instructions to do so are below. If you do this and follow the instructions for pairing, you should be able to successfully pair your device with the MediLink app (regardless of the model you own).

  1. Select Add Bluetooth BP Monitor
  2. Select BIOS Protocol 7D MII BD245
  3. Follow the in-app instructions and select ‘Yes’ where applicable.

Health Data Transfers:

It is our priority to make sure any previous health data from within the last year is made available to you, and transferred from the BPiQ App, into the MediLink App. Some customers experienced an issue where their data was not transferred after re-setting their passwords.

This mainly stemmed from case sensitivity when the email address was originally entered into the BPiQ app, versus how it was entered into the MediLink App. We have run a second migration that should resolve any accounts that were missed to begin with. This should fix most of these problems within the next 48hours.

There were some accounts, however, that were created with emails or usernames that were misspelled when accounts were created. If this is the case, it is difficult for us to identify these. If you are still having problems seeing your data after the second migration is performed, please let us know if you would like us to investigate this further.

Data migration for more recent health history is being compiled and will transfer at a future date. If you notice that after the second data migration, you are still missing history from September 8th onwards, please do not be alarmed. This is the date range we are currently working on. We are diligently focusing on getting this data pulled and added to your updated accounts as soon as possible!

Thank you again for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.

(October 7, 2022)

We are excited to announce a new and improved platform to help you monitor your health needs, and track your trends over time!

As of mid October, an update will become available, that will transition your BIOS BPiQ App into the MediLink by BIOS app. As a current user, once updated, you will follow the prompts to re-set your password using the original email you originally signed up with. This will allow for the transfer of your personal health data from the past 12 months, so you won’t lose the important history that you share with your health professionals.

Your newly updated App will also get a face lift! The new App Icon will now display as:

What Are some Of The Changes?

Don’t worry! The MediLink by BIOS App will still have all of the features you’ve come to love, but will now be more intuitive to use.

Use the App with your Bluetooth enabled BIOS monitor to accurately and efficiently calculate blood pressure averages that provide key insights into your heart health. Automatically transfer blood pressure readings from your device, or manually enter your values from a non-Bluetooth enabled monitor.

Home to a new feature, the App now hosts Swipe Averaging, allowing you to quickly grasp a selection of dates from your calendar, to provide you with specific health data and averaging insight.

Upload your data directly to your healthcare provider’s portal from within the App*, or export your data as a .csv file and send via email to your Doctor!

Why Did We Make This Change?

The new platform of our App, is a tested, successful application already in use in other markets. It has excellent reviews, and hosts a more user friendly, instinctual interface.

In addition, this App is soon to evolve into your go to hub to monitor not only Blood Pressure, but temperatures from both fever and basal thermometers, pulse and SpO2 levels from Pulse Oximeters, health and wellness information from bathroom scales, and fitness information from exercise watches! This App will be able to expand along with BIOS’s product line up!

What Do You Need To Do?

Simply make sure your phone is set up for automatic App updates. Or, periodically check to ensure your App is up to date in your App settings. When the update is released, you will automatically be upgraded to the new platform.

We hope you enjoy using the updated App more than ever before! As always, BIOS is here to help! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to our team at support@biosmedical.com

*Healthcare providers must first register for the clinician WebApp.
