BIOS Diagnostics Blood Pressure and Fever Apps

(October 29, 2022)

BIOS BPiQ/MediLink Users,

The much awaited date for our MediLink App launch has come! As excited as we are to welcome it to our library of helpful tools we provide to our customers, there were some unforeseen speedbumps that have come to light.

We wish to apologize for some inconveniences that may have arisen for you during your first pairing attempts.  Please rest assured, any hiccups that arise during the early days will be ironed out as soon as possible!

Pairing your Bluetooth Device:

Some of you may have experienced an issue that was not allowing you to pair your device after selecting the specific model image from the list. After making some adjustments this should no longer be present. Please update the App if you have an available software update, and try again.

If you are still having troubles please try the following instructions:

You may be able to pair your Bios BP monitor with the app by selecting the BIOS Protocol 7D MII BD245 model, instead of your current model, the instructions to do so are below. If you do this and follow the instructions for pairing, you should be able to successfully pair your device with the MediLink app (regardless of the model you own).

  1. Select Add Bluetooth BP Monitor
  2. Select BIOS Protocol 7D MII BD245
  3. Follow the in-app instructions and select ‘Yes’ where applicable.

Health Data Transfers:

It is our priority to make sure any previous health data from within the last year is made available to you, and transferred from the BPiQ App, into the MediLink App. Some customers experienced an issue where their data was not transferred after re-setting their passwords.

This mainly stemmed from case sensitivity when the email address was originally entered into the BPiQ app, versus how it was entered into the MediLink App. We have run a second migration that should resolve any accounts that were missed to begin with. This should fix most of these problems within the next 48hours.

There were some accounts, however, that were created with emails or usernames that were misspelled when accounts were created. If this is the case, it is difficult for us to identify these. If you are still having problems seeing your data after the second migration is performed, please let us know if you would like us to investigate this further.

Data migration for more recent health history is being compiled and will transfer at a future date. If you notice that after the second data migration, you are still missing history from September 8th onwards, please do not be alarmed. This is the date range we are currently working on. We are diligently focusing on getting this data pulled and added to your updated accounts as soon as possible!

Thank you again for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Lancement de l'application MediLink

------------------------------------------------------------

(October 7, 2022)

We are excited to announce a new and improved platform to help you monitor your health needs, and track your trends over time!

As of mid October, an update will become available, that will transition your BIOS BPiQ App into the MediLink by BIOS app. As a current user, once updated, you will follow the prompts to re-set your password using the original email you originally signed up with. This will allow for the transfer of your personal health data from the past 12 months, so you won’t lose the important history that you share with your health professionals.

Your newly updated App will also get a face lift! The new App Icon will now display as:

What Are some Of The Changes?

Don’t worry! The MediLink by BIOS App will still have all of the features you’ve come to love, but will now be more intuitive to use.

Use the App with your Bluetooth enabled BIOS monitor to accurately and efficiently calculate blood pressure averages that provide key insights into your heart health. Automatically transfer blood pressure readings from your device, or manually enter your values from a non-Bluetooth enabled monitor.

Home to a new feature, the App now hosts Swipe Averaging, allowing you to quickly grasp a selection of dates from your calendar, to provide you with specific health data and averaging insight.

Upload your data directly to your healthcare provider’s portal from within the App*, or export your data as a .csv file and send via email to your Doctor!

Why Did We Make This Change?

The new platform of our App, is a tested, successful application already in use in other markets. It has excellent reviews, and hosts a more user friendly, instinctual interface.

In addition, this App is soon to evolve into your go to hub to monitor not only Blood Pressure, but temperatures from both fever and basal thermometers, pulse and SpO2 levels from Pulse Oximeters, health and wellness information from bathroom scales, and fitness information from exercise watches! This App will be able to expand along with BIOS’s product line up!

What Do You Need To Do?

Simply make sure your phone is set up for automatic App updates. Or, periodically check to ensure your App is up to date in your App settings. When the update is released, you will automatically be upgraded to the new platform.

We hope you enjoy using the updated App more than ever before! As always, BIOS is here to help! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to our team at support@biosmedical.com

*Healthcare providers must first register for the clinician WebApp.

To our Valued iOS Users,

We appreciate your patience while we have been working through making the BPiQ app compatible with iOS 15.4.1.

We have a few large updates being launched over the coming weeks with this first update going live in the coming days. For some, you may notice that the app will look a little different, rest assured this is temporary.

This update also has the following fixes:

  • Network Error messages/Bluetooth Stability & Connectivity Issues/Syncing Issues
  • Exporting your measurements to a workable CSV file by email
  • BPiQ app is compatible with iOS 14-15.4.1

We want to keep our users as informed about the app updates as possible.  In saying that, there are some features throughout the app that are still not functioning as they should.  When iOS 15.4.1 launched, our app become incompatible with the update.  Our main focus was to get the app up and running so you could sync your BIOS Blood Pressure Machine measurements to the app and download those important readings.

Here is the list of features still being worked on:

  • Updating the navigation and menu selection
  • For iPad users, the graphs are not responding to the size of an iPad screen.
  • Permanently deleting measurements
  • Symbols may appear in the user name field
  • Apple Health Sync

Every hour our servers do a back up maintenance.  In that 1 minute of maintenance there might be a "Network Error" appearing on the screen.  This will only last 30 seconds to 1 minute.  Please wait and try again and the "Network Error" will go away.

Again for any other issues please check out our Trouble shooting Guide.

BIOS Precisiontemp

Please note that our BIOS Precisiontemp App is currently not working for iOS users. Our team has been working with ITunes to get this resolved as quickly as possible. There will be an update to the App in 48 hours that will resolve this issue.

The Ear Thermometer does work independently of the App.

The Ovulation Thermometer will also continue to work independently of the App as long as it has already been paired/synced to the App. If you have a new Ovulation Thermometer you do have to do an initial sync to the App to be able to get the Thermometer working. Unfortunately until the App is working it will not be able to sync and take temperatures. If you have an second device that runs Android, you can register a secondary e mail on that device to do the initial set up to sync the thermometer to the App so that it will start working. Then when the iOS is up and running you can register your main e mail on that platform and download the reading from the Thermometer into the App. Please note do not use the same e mail on both iOS and Android, it will not work correctly.

Our team is working diligently to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

There is no issues with the Android version of the App.

We thank everyone for their patience.

To Our App Users,

With the launch of both App’s last week and over the weekend we have noticed a few issues that need to be addressed.

Users looking for the BP Tool Box:

Apple Users:

  • Please note; that the one of features in the update was a new look, icon and name.  When searching for the App please search for BPIQ.  Please do not put any spaces in BPIQ.  You can also click on the link below:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bpiq/id1145952849

  • Please update the app from the app store with the latest version published May 6th, 2020.
  • For some users that already downloaded the App last week there was an update to the App.  For some it will update automatically and for others you will have to go into the App store and update it there.
  • You will have to allow the App to access your Bluetooth for the Blood Pressure machine to communicate correctly.
  • When updated and you encounter the 'Network Error' please uninstall the app completely, restart your device and re-download the from the App store.

Android Users:

  • One of the updates done was a new look and icon and name. When searching for the App please search for BPIQ. Please do not put any spaces in BPIQ. You can also click on the link below:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ihealthystar.kawin.toolbox.bpiq

  • Please note; There was an update to the App this morning.  It is live on Google Play which should solve any and all crash issues.  Those with the BPIQ App from last week can still login; this update fixes the crash errors for older Android devices.
  • Uninstall the current version of the App on your device
  • Go to the Google Play store and look for BIOS BPiQ App
  • Install the new App

We thank everyone again for their continued patience.
